    Uniform Day

    Cadets are required to wear their uniform from home to school and from school to home.  Uniform Day counts as a major grade. Therefore, it is important that Cadets were their uniform.  Uniform Day will be every Wednesday and Thursday. Not wearing the uniform will result in a ZERO!


     Important Dates/Announcements:

    Unit Achievement SY17 - 18: The Area 8 Manager, Commander Merlin Ladner, has awarded Pearl High School NavyJROTC with the Unit Achievement Award for demonstrating the very highest level of performance. All members in good standing with the NJROTC Unit are eligible to wear the Unit Achievement Award Ribbon.

    Battalion Staff for SY2018/19 - On Friday, April 20, the new Battalion Staff was installed during the Change of Command. Congratulations to Cadet Commander Clayton Engle on his selection as Commanding Officer, Cadet Lieutenant Commander Lucy Poole on her selection as Executive Officer, Cadet Lieutenant Alyssa Prang on her selection as Operations Officer, and Cadet Master Chief Petty Officer Hunter Tompkins on his selection as Command Master Chief. 

    National Flight AcademyCadet with full scholarship scheduled to attend the National Flight Academy, Pensacola, Florida from May 27th-June 2nd, must register by May 2, 2018. Cadets with a partial scholarship of $950, must pay their $300 by May 27, 2018. (Aasia Thompson, Rac'Inya Chambers, Clayton Engle, and Kenneth Shirley.)

    Uniform Turn - Seniors, please turn-in your uniform. A fine list has been submitted to Admin. Cadets not returning to ROTC (Turn in your clean and pressed uniform ASAP). Returning cadetsmust bring in their uniform for inventory and then return your custody card.

    Saturday, June 9th-June 16th - Basic Leadership Academy/Leadership Academy, Camp Shelby, MS. Cost is $200 (Lodging, Meals, and Training will be provided). Must pass PT Challenge. Transportation to and from BLT and LA will be provided free of charge.

     

     

     


     NJROTC Tailgate Party During at home Football Games

    The next Tailgate party will be on TBA. Cadets are welcome to bring snacks to share with their classmates.  Cadets are encouraged to come out and enjoy the social and food.  There is no cost to the cadets or parents. Parents are welcome to join us.  Cadets will be required to remain in the ROTC classroom under the supervison of the NJROTC instructors.

     

     

    Snacks, Sodas, Water and etc.

    NJROTC will be selling snacks to cadets only during class.  Cadets will be allowed to consume their purchases during the class period at the discretion their instructor. No outside food or drinks are to be consumed unless a Cadet's instructor says that they may consume them in the classroom.

    Thursday, May 17th - PJHS 8th Grade Awards Day, 1:00p.m. Color Guard showtime in NJROTC classroom is 12:00 noon.
