Hi! My name is Mrs. Leslie Poe and my instructional assistant is Mrs. Lindsay Brogdon. We are so excited about the adventures that are ahead with our new Resource class! Most importantly, we are THRILLED to work with your child this year It is going to be a fun year full of learning, new adventures, and engaging activities. Teaching is my passion and I absolutely love working with children. It is my personal mission to instill a love for learning in my students, create life long learners, and to encourage my students to do their best. Below you will find some of our class rules and procedures.

Everyday your child will bring home his/her  folder. Inside of this folder, you will find their homework sheet, behavior log, any notes or announcements from the school, weekly signed papers, and some handouts. Please do not take anything out that has been placed, hole punched and put into the binder or folder. It will be very helpful if you would clean out any work that has been placed in the keep at home pocket in thebinder/folder every night, review the materials, and assist your child with his/her homework. Please leave the homework sheet and behavior log in the folder at all times. Every day, you can check your child’s behavior by looking at the color and any notes that may be written in the box. Please review the rules with your child when you see the color red or blue. Please initial your child’s behavior every day! Your child should come prepared with his/her school bookbag, binder, and homework every day. If your child doesn’t have homework, you will be able to view it under useful information in the content box.
