• Welcome to Pirate Country!

With a staff of approximately 500, Pearl Public School District takes pride in its efforts to provide a superior level of education to a diverse population of approximately 4,200 students. Throughout its history, Pearl's academic and extracurricular programs have received numerous accolades. The Pearl Public School District was one of six districts to achieve an A status during the 2017-2018 school year. Another achievement was receiving the Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts in 2005. Two of the district's schools, Northside Elementary School and Pearl High School, have been recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools by the United States Department of Education. Approximately 20 percent of the certified staff is National Board Certified.

Believing that education is an investment in the future of the community, Pearl citizens have supported bond issues to continually upgrade facilities with new buildings and appropriate renovations.

Pearl Public School District has five schools serving K-12 to better meet the needs of ALL children in the community. Pearl Lower Elementary also includes an ancillary site, funded through Title I funds, for four-year-old, pre-K students meeting program criteria.  This program focuses its efforts to serve our future students by providing foundational skills to improve kindergarten readiness.
